Submission guide
We welcome explications, lesson plans and research papers. Please read this page and the review policy first.
What we accept
- Explications: common and design readings of a character or a family;
- Lesson plans: family units organised by the seven design axioms, with a pre-reveal task and transfer items;
- Research: methods, data, test results — and criticism of and dialogue with this framework.
How to write an explication
- Follow the six sections: headword → form layer → common reading → design reading → family → review status.
- Keep common and design readings apart. Give sources for the common reading (Shuowen, glosses, modern dictionaries); build the design reading from stroke meanings, yin-yang pairing and layout, and show the chain of reasoning.
- Where a source has only a design reading, do not invent a common one.
- An IDS decomposition belongs to the common-reading layer and must not be used as a New Six Scripts decomposition.
- Mark stroke meanings, five-phase readings and the design thesis as axioms; give the side and current value of every quantitative result.
- Say where you used AI; AI-generated design readings are always candidates.
Submitting
Send your manuscript to [submission email] or through the contact page. We reply within [15 working days] on whether it enters review; new design readings are published as candidate or pending, and become reviewed only after the author's review.
